Vacation!

At last...after a summer spent mostly inside studying, VACATION! Me and mom got up way too early and hit the road at 5:15 a.m. First stop, New Orleans to pick up Nancy and Stephanie.

Of course we had to take mouse on our trip. He enjoyed seeing the sites in N.O.

You know you are in N.O. when hundreds of guys pass you on the street in red dresses. It was for a charity run.
Next stop, one of my favorite places, Destin, Fl. We stayed at the place with the awesome lazy river again. This is my fourth time here.

Nancy and Steph at one of the yummy restaurants we ate at.
Pretty shots from around the area.
Mom and the mouse enjoy the hot tub on our balcony.
Mouse enjoys tubing.
After I found out that Steph's godmother was Kathy, I decided I had to step up and take her place. So in a very solemn ceremony in the lazy river complete with mom blowing bubbles, Nancy throwing flowers and a dunking, Steph became my godchild.

Mouse joined in the ceremony.
To top off the ceremony Steph received her own crafty flip flops. Kathy had us all make flip flops a few years ago on one of our vacations.
Nancy and Steph jump through the waterfall. This is the pool where a frog swam into my swim shirt and almost gave me a heart attack.
The last night, we went down one last time to the lazy river.

We get up early yet again to head home. We dropped Steph and Nancy off in Pensacola and me and mom hit the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi. We were not big winners, so we had to head home. It was a great time!

Happy 4th!

We celebrated not only the 4th of July, but Barbara's and dad's birthdays.

Just in case we did not have any real fireworks because of the drought, I had promised Sean we would do paper fireworks.

For dad's birthday, we allowed him to make the cake. =)
Mom got dad a paddle to get pizza out of the oven.
Dave chased Sean with the pizza paddle.
Dad showing off his new youthful look.
It's always fun when Darlene is around.
Dad made 4th of July pudding, just like he did 34 years ago...

Super Moon

Last week was the super moon. Its the closest the moon has been in 13 years. It was pretty cool.I just uploaded a lot of posts, so be sure to go back and look!

Sean at the Rodeo

Sean so wanted to roll down the hill. He kept going across the hill and not down. It was so funny. I have video of it, but videos take too long to upload on blogspot. Plus, I'm laughing so hard I started snorting. Barb is going to take him to Nana/Grandpa's house to teach him how to roll. Picture in front of goats for Grandma.
Sean trying to run away from the cow.

This picture reminds me of a photo of Dave and his grandpa on a tractor.

Mouse Goes to Aunt Jo's Work

Sean told me he wanted mouse to go to work with me. Of course I obliged.

Mouse hits the third floor button to make it up to Aunt Jo's office.
He was surprised to see all the s'mores. He tried to nibble on them, but they were not really food.
Diana scolded him and told him to get to work!
He started scratching things off Aunt Jo's to-do-list.
Suddenly, he saw a cat, got scared and ran up to the top of the monitor. Silly mouse! That is only a cat sticker.
Time to visit with Aunt Jo's boss Connie. Does she see me up here?
Now on to see if Aunt Jo has anything in her inbox. Looks empty to me. Mouse is hungry. Time for Thin Mints!
Lots of Thin Mints!
Mouse was so full he slept the rest of the day!
