Walking for Kathy

Last month the family got together to walk in the Ovarian Cancer Sprint for Life in the medical center in honor of our Aunt Kathy. Well, most of use walked, Sean got a free ride in the wagon, and Barb took part in the competitive run!

Wicked Weather...Tropical Trouble

The best part of hurricane season is seeing what crazy alliteration the news people will come up with using a weather term or the name of the storm. My favorites from Hurricane Alex were: Adios Alex (appropriate because it hit Mexico) and Awaiting Alex. Everyone start coming up with your own favorites for the next storm Bonnie.

We know we are in trouble when the TXDOT signs start flashing this:

But, we really didn't know what kind of trouble we were in until we tried to plot out the storms path on our hurricane chart and saw this:

In other weather news...I saw a small tornado last weekend on the way to Galveston. It was the best part of the trip!!
