Florida Part V - The last day

Sean and his friends joined around the lazy river before the long ride home. Speaking of the ride home...we had five adults and Sean in dad's Honda Odyssey. We all were one happy family! It was a long trip made longer because I made a wrong turn in Pensacola, and we had to make a big detour to avoid construction near Baton Rouge. Beth was a good sport and kept Dave in line in the far back seat. Sean was really good. He slept, played with Darlene and watch a couple of movies.

Florida part IV - Mom and Dad join us

After a stressful week in Brevard, mom and dad stopped by for a couple of days in Destin. Mom loves the lazy river especially when Sean is there!

Florida Part III - Reason #431 why you shouldn't leave Sean alone with Joanne, Beth, and Darlene.

Sean was all about the hot tub. We would ask if he wanted to go to the pool and he would get a cute, sly look on his face, look at you sideways and say "hot tub?" We thought maybe he was trying to pick up chicks, so we taught him a new saying:

If you can't understand what he's saying it is "How you doin'?" Every time you ask him that he'll say it back and start cracking up. We were also trying to get him to say "What's your sign?" One more week with him and he would have been king of the hot tub.

Florida Part II - Fabulous and Forty!

The reason for the trip was to celebrate Barb and her friends all turning the big 40 this year. Here is a video of the girls showing that they still have all their moves!

All the girls take a plunge into their 40s.

Florida! Part I

Dave, Barb, Sean and I joined 11 other friends in Destin, Florida for a week of fun in the sun. We spent the week in the lazy river or at the beach. People at work today were shocked at how tan I was. I must have been more pasty white than I thought I was.

Here is the postcard shot of the trip.
Sean did not care for the beach that much, but he still had fun. Here he is just chillin' with a juice box and playing in the sand.
Here's Dave carrying Sean to the "big pool" otherwise know as the Gulf of Mexico.

Playground Fun

Sean, Dave and Barb biked to the park and met me and mom.

Sean had fun on the slide. (sorry I don't know how to flip the video)

He also had fun on the swing. He wanted to go higher and higher.

Sean kept saying he sees a dinosaur. I looked around the playground expecting to find a dinosaur slide. He said, "No, the cloud looks like a dinosaur!"

Dave had fun on the playground too!

Peek a boo!.
"The people on the bus go up and down..."
(Notice that Dave and mom have the same shirt on. He is always trying to be the favorite.)

A Happy Chicken Lays Happy Eggs in its Happy Bowl!

My grandmother's egg collection has finally found its favorite resting place, in my grandmother's wood bowl. One of my memories of visiting my grandparents house was playing with the stone eggs. About nine years ago I got the eggs from Uncle Denis but the chicken and the bowl were no where to be found.

My Aunt Kit found a temporary chicken for me to use and about four years ago Dave found an exact replica of the chicken my grandmother had in a store in the Hill Country.

Denis found the bowl and my parents brought it back from their trip to Yankee land last month. So now after an almost decade long search, the eggs are in a happy place! Thanks Uncle Den Den!

Congrats Aidan!

Aidan finished his first season of T-Ball. He did very well. The team awarded him the Most Consistant Hitter Award.
