Summer fun with Sean

Two weeks ago Sean and I visited the fake Space Shuttle (thanks for nothing New York). It may be just a mock shuttle, but still pretty cool. Sean had fun running around the Space Center. He couldn't understand why we didn't get in free since he is going to work there when he grows up.
 Heavy space helmet.
 Moving the Mars rover around.
There is a Sean in there somewhere.

Last week we went to the Houston Children's Museum.

Sean learning to be a HEB checker.
Testing his balace skills as a surfer/snow boarder
 Dr. Pastalaniec?
Aunt Jo's awesome snail facepainting.

Run Sean!

Barb and Sean ran a race in Texas City last weekend. Sean ran the whole thing! Oh, Barb did too. =)

Sean warming up, but keeping an eye on the scary stuffed seahorse.

Ready, set, goooo!
Run, run, run

Lost a little steam at the end. Aunt Joanne may or may not have patted him on the back to say good job and made him fall down. The volunteer helped him the last few feet. See the glare he is giving me.
I tell Sean about how the turtle always wins the race!

Graduation!

Wahoo! Yesterday I graduated from UHCL with a masters in Digital Media Studies. I won't really believe it until I get my real diploma in a couple of months.

If there was a thought bubble on this it would be "Don't trip, just don't trip!"

Me and Seany-bear who was the subject of many of my grad projects!

Disney!

We had a great week at Disney. I think I'm finally caught up on my sleep. Sean was a trooper with no naps on most of days. (Dave too!) We hit Disney World two days, Animal Kingdom and Epcot or as Sean called it Apricot. Sean loved It's a Small World and Slash Mountain the best, but it does change daily. He wanted nothing to do with the characters, but he loooved shopping!

Here is a small sampling of our photos and a video of us on the Tea Cups!

Lucky Bear Goes to the Doctor

Lucky Bear was accidentally left in mom's car when it went to the shop.
He gave us a call when the car was ready.

Sean has been telling grandma all month that Lucky Bear was
feeling bad and was sick, so she took him to the doctor.

The doctor gave him a full check-up. Boy that stethoscope is cold!
The doctor said everything is good and all his bacteria and germs are gone! Lucky Bear did so well, he got a lollipop. Grandma picked him up and took him to her house for the weekend.

Lucky Bear is going to rest all weekend and watch some Dinosaur Train.

Peeps!

Last weekend the Pasta's had our third annual Peep diorama contest.

I did a Peep farm.
Joe did a "peep" show showcasing the Chronicle social reporter.
Of course they were made with vegan marshmallows.

Dave did his yearly artistic Peep creation. He scares me sometimes.
Sean created a building that was going through a fire drill.
 Grandma's Peep flower garden.
Dziadziu's final four creation. Recognize Baylor's neon costumes?
And the winner...Barbara's creation of a water park!
 Water volleyball
 Tubers

Early Easter

We celebrated Easter last weekend at the Houston Pasta's.

We hid the eggs in the backyard and found almost all of them.
Dziadziu found one while mowing this week!

Sean cracked some cascarones or confetti eggs on grandma.
The rements made for a colorful yard.
How many grownups does is take to watch Sean hunt for eggs?
 Spring!
